DESCRIPTION
“ERCLEAN-HCF” is a water based tank cleaner and hydrocarbon remover. (Hydrocarbon Free Cleaner). After cleaning the tanks with Tank Cleaner or Tank Cleaner Extra to remove mineral and fuel oil residues, or after cleaning the tanks with ER-AC or ER-AC PLUS to remove animal and vegetable oils residues, hydrocarbon may still be left on tank surfaces. Presence of hydrocarbon can be detected with wall wash test. If hydrocarbon is detected ERCLEAN-HCF is the detergent to remove it from tank surfaces.
APPLICATION, FEATURES & BENEFITS
- Completely miscible with sea water and fresh water.
- Suitable for use on zinc-silicate coatings and most common metals. Limited application on epoxy coatings.( The maximum concentration is 10% and a maximum temperature of 60°C.)
DIRECTIONS FOR USE/ APPLICATION RATES AND DOSAGE RATES
Spray Method:
After cleaning tanks with TANK CLEANER or TANK CLEANER EXTRA and rinsing the tanks with hot fresh water at a maximum temperature of 60°C, spray 15% solution of ERCLEAN-HCF freshwater solution on the hot tank surfaces and let it react for minimum 30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with hot De-Ionized Water (D.I. Water).
Spot Cleaning:
Spray the surfaces with undiluted ERCLEAN-HCF. It can be applied either by brush, pump or a spray unit.
Apply the chemicals until the tank surfaces are well soaked and let the product react for at least
30 minutes. Then rinse all tank surfaces with water at max. 60°C for 45 – 60 minutes.
Recirculation Method:
Depending the contamination degree prepare 2-5% ERCLEAN-HCF solution and circulate the tanks for 2-6 hours. Cleaning solution must be around 40 – 60 ºC during circulation. Rinse the tanks with water after cleaning finishes.
